School Integration – Germany
Individual Programme 3wks/6months School Integration in a German School.
This programme is only available at school time and is open to students who have studied German for at least 2 years. The students will attend regular classes with German students.
All participants must accept and do their very best to adapt to the German way of life.
With this programme, you can attend a secondary level within a German High School – ‘Gymnasium’. Depending on your age and knowledge of German you will enter a class of 9th – 11th grade and attend classes at a public school together with German students.
The most important requirement for attending a German high school is a good knowledge of the German language and therefore you will have to prove your German proficiency in a written language test before your arrival. This German Language Test is taken without any assistance or use of a dictionary. Furthermore, you should be independent, flexible and have both the ability and the intention to adjust to new surroundings.
Accommodation will be in a German family, half board on week days (lunch at school) and full board at week-ends or bank holidays. We try, as far as possible, to place the students in families with children approximately their own age, but this cannot be guaranteed for every placement.
Age : 14 to 17 years.
Aschaffenburg, Lorrach, Augsberg, Nuremberg, Potsdam, Kassel, Braunschweig, Oldenburg, Bonn/ St. Augustin, Siegen.
We cannot guarantee placements in a particular region of Germany.
The confirmation of location depends on the availability of the school at the time of application.
Duration: the programme lasts from 8 weeks to 6 months during the German Academic Year, from early September to the end of June. All the applications will be submitted to a board of admission in Germany and must be received at least 3 months before starting the programme.
The programme includes:
- Full board home stay accommodation (lunches taken in the school restaurant)

“By doing a school integration programme in a school in France I improved my language skills, experienced the culture and made friends for life. If you have the opportunity to go it will be one of the best things you ever do”.
